Little boys's dream
A young boy left his lame and jagged and prominent teeth due to polio, and he considered himself to be the most unfortunate child in the world. No classmates are willing to play games with him. When the teacher asks him to answer questions, he always keeps his head down and says nothing.
Spring is here, the little boy’s father bought some saplings and wanted to plant them in front of the house. He called the children and asked them to plant one. And to them, whoever planted the best saplings, who will buy a gift. The little boy also wanted to get a gift from his father, but when he saw the brother and sister jumping and sipping the trees, he hoped that the tree he had planted would die soon. Therefore, after pouring water once or twice, he never took care of it again.
After a few days, the boy was surprised to find that it not only did not wither, but also grew a few new leaves, which were more green and more lively than the trees planted by the brothers and sisters.
The little boys's father bought him his favorite gift and told him that from the tree he planted, he would become an outstanding botanist when he grew up. Gradually the little boy no longer feels inferior and begins to become optimistic.
On a bright moonlight night, the little boy couldn t sleep in bed, and suddenly remembered what the biology teacher had said: plants usually grow at night. Going to see how the little tree grew up? When he gently came to the yard, he saw what his father was pouring under the tree he planted. Everything he understood, the father had been secretly fertilizing the little tree he planted! The little boy looked at his father, and the tears didn’t know when it had flowed out of his eyes...
The lame boy did not eventually become a botanist, but he became the president of the United States. His name is Franklin Roosevelt.
